Divorcing? You Need a Good Mediator. (Here's Why.)

Feb 03, 2026

If you're here, chances are something feels heavy.  Maybe you're lying awake at 2am Googling "divorce process" and wondering how your life got here.  First… take a breath.

I’m really glad you’re here.

And I’m really sorry you’re going through this.

Divorce is one of those things nobody plans for. Nobody dreams about. Nobody puts on their vision board.

Trust me — if I could make divorce disappear, I would.

But since I can’t…

My heart is to help you walk through it with less fear and more clarity.

Because here’s what I’ve learned after years as an attorney, mediator, and life coach:

Divorce doesn’t have to destroy you.

It doesn’t have to be a war.

And it definitely doesn’t have to cost your life savings.

That’s where mediation comes in.

Why mediation works so well

When you mediate:
You sit at the same table.
You talk through decisions together.
You keep control.

Instead of:
❌ Courtrooms
❌ Angry letters
❌ Thousands of dollars in fees
❌ Months (or years) of stress

You get:
✅ Faster decisions
✅ Lower costs
✅ More dignity
✅ Less emotional damage for everyone — especially kids

And honestly?

Peace is priceless.

Before you file anything, think through these 3 things

I always tell my clients this:

If you decide these early, everything feels lighter.

1. Your assets (what you own together)
Homes, retirement accounts, debt, savings — it’s all shared legally.

2. Income & maintenance
Who earns what? What does each person realistically need?

3. Your kids (if you have them)
Parenting plans, schedules, communication.

Kids don’t need perfect parents.

They need peaceful ones.

Here’s what I want you to remember most:

You’re not failing.

You’re not behind.

You’re not broken.

You’re just in a hard chapter.

And hard chapters often grow the strongest people.

Midlife isn’t your crisis.

It’s your comeback.

And if you need someone calm in your corner?

I’m here.

Always.
